Big Ruth to family members was the daughter of Amelia Ann Brown- Winters and Charles Henry Winters. Ruth was the mother of Elizabeth(Betty) W Busch and Ruth Annette Hall-Henderson(Babe Ruth). Her second husband was Frank(Francis) Hoopes Hall. She is the maternal grandmother of Francis Hoopes Hall Henderson. She was born in 1894 and died in 1926 from TB. Her husband Frank died in 1921 from TB.Babe Ruth died in 1943 from TB. Frank and Big Ruth also had 2 sons, Francis Hoopes Hall II and Joseph Hall, both died as infants from TB. TB was the cause of death for most of the Winters. |
