Our Mission
Carolina ACD Rescue & Rebound is dedicated to helping Australian Cattle Dogs in need of rescue from kill shelters,
neglect and abandonment in both North and South Carolina. Through our adoption program, these dogs receive routine veterinary
care, training and lots of TLC while we search for their new forever homes. Using our website, adoption flyers, and public
events we strive to educate the public about this breed and prevent other cattle dogs from becoming another dog in need.

Our Rescue
We primarily rescue from municipal and county shelters in North and South Carolina, but occasionally assist with dogs
from bordering states. Most of these dogs were picked up as strays; some were surrendered to shelters by their former owners;
all were at risk of being euthanized before coming to us.
We do not operate a shelter. The dogs in our rescue are in foster homes where they interact with humans and other dogs.
By using a foster home environment we are able to evaluate these dogs for temperament and provide basic obedience and crate
training.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity and all contributions are tax deductible. Please check out our rescue fundraiser
page to see the current projects. We use our fundraisers and any donations to cover vet expenses, flea and heartworm preventative,
food, collars, leashes, and other supplies needed for our foster dogs. Monetary donations can be made using the PayPal button

Adopting a Friend
Our standard adoption fee is $175.00. This includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, dhlpp vaccination, Bordatella vaccination,
heartworm test and treatment/preventative, fecal with worming as needed. We sometimes have rescue dogs available that have
been started in herding. Adoption fee for these dogs is dependent on the level of training they have received. If you are
interested in a started dog for trial or farm work e-mail for availability and fee information. Owning a dog is a major responsibility,
not to be taken lightly. In an effort to make the best possible match between you and a dog, we will request that you complete
a comprehensive adoption application and be prepared to spend some time discussing it before an adoption. Also, please be
aware that we reserve the right to conduct a home visit prior to approving any applicant. Our goal is to provide the best
possible home for each dog so that they will never have to come back to rescue.
