CONFEDERACY PAGE

Most people associate the above flags with racism and slavery. But let me ask this question, under what flag was slavery started? Under what flag were the Indians slaughtered? Under what flag was raping and piliaging of homes done? Answer: The American Flag. I do have repect for the American flag, but people must realise that the worst that happened under a flag may not represent the people who flew it.

Yes slavery was a part of the War Between the States. Yes the South was a slaveholding country. Yes they were racists. But slavery was not the real reason behind the war. It was used by both countries as a sympathy motive, to get more men involved. The real reason was the violation of the Constitution by the North. Lincoln was not the greatest president every. He was the worst. Under his command he imprisoned those who didn't agree with him, including members of the press and 31 legislators of Maryland, he invaded another country and replaced its leaders with his own, and he raped their women and destroyed their homes. He also shreded the Constitution, which we still live with to this day. The North didn't outlaw slavery on moral grounds, they didn't want slaves for fear that its people would lose employment to the cheap labor. Most Northerners were just as racists as the Southerners, if not more. They wanted blacks out of this country. Even Lincoln agreed with that statement. He also supported a Constitutional Amendment keeping slavery, so long as the South stayed in the Union. He made numerous statements denigrating blacks and supporting slavery. Search LewRockwell.com for "South" for more in depth coverage of the "Greatest President".

Now a disclaimer: I am not in any way, shape, or form a racist. I denounce any who believe any different. Skin color has nothing to do with the person inside. I take great offense to anyone who calls me a racist, for I am quite the opposite. I do have black friends and find them quite nice people. Do not confuse support for the Confederacy's position on liberty and government with their position on non-whites. While they didn't realize it, 20/20 hindsight now let's us see that the two are opposing and incompatable views.
