Clair joined the farm partnership in 1992. He has a PHD from Cornell University in plant genetics, make use of his expertise first in Mexico and then in Columbia, South America. Clair worked in tropical crop research, specializing in cassava before bringing the family back to the states in 1992.

Clair’s management areas on the farm are crops and finances, managing crops and equipment on the scattered 400 acres the partnership farms. He continues to keep contacts with CIAT, in Columbia, doing consulting work for them as time and opportunity allow.

Anne is currently doing therapy work with Altzheimers victims at a local retirement community.

Clair and Anne have three children, Jessica, who is a Class of 2001 member at Manheim Central High School, and twin sons, Kevin and Neil, who are preparing to enter 10th grade during the 2001-2002 school year.
