These five six-week-old puppies contracted distemper (canine distemper virus) while in the shelter.  This extremely contageous, incurable and often fatal disease strikes puppies the hardest but can also affect adult dogs.  A simple vaccination at the vet's can prevent your dog from contracting this disease that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and central nervous systems.  Please take the time to make sure your dog is up to date on their immunizations.
